3 words to describe your bodywork?
Versatile. Therapeutic. Focused.
What makes you a great massage therapist?
I am a strong believer that empathy is the driving force behind effective body work. I have experienced chronic pain since the age of 18, and it has given me an enormous desire to help aid in the healing of others. I have also been a personal trainer for a decade and am a huge believer in a holistic health approach that helps the client preserve the effects of their massage for as long as possible.
What type of bodywork do you like receive?
I like a good old fashioned relaxing massage with a BIT of extra work around my trigger points!
What do you do when you are not at the studio?
I have a full-time job running the operations for a fitness company, and I also love to work out and sing.
Mountains, ocean, or desert?
Ocean!
Do you have animals? If so, tell us about them.
I do! Two cats (Martin and Hairees). And my boyfriend has a cockatiel that lives with us.
Favorite Treat?
I am oddly obsessed with Quest nutrition bars.

I did something to my right hip a couple of weeks ago and was experiencing considerable pain. Thinking of going to a chiropractor when a friend mentioned massage therapy as an option and Sacramento Massage Studio in particular. Let me just say that Mariah can perform magic! I walked out of my session feeling better than I had since the pain started. While I still feel a slight “twinge” in the hip now and again, there is NO pain. I haven’t even had to take ibuprofen since my session with her. Mariah even worked with me on some exercises I can do at home on a regular basis to try to prevent this from happening again. I wholeheartedly recommend Sacramento Massage Studio and ask for Mariah! Thanks,
