Intuitive, thoughtful, compassionate
What makes you a great massage therapist?
I use my knowledge of anatomy, pathology and mechanisms of injury to understand what’s going on with every client and I always put myself in my clients shoes to try and understand what they are feeling. I love to blend Trigger Point Therapy with other modalities to create a unique and effective massage for each individual’s need.
What type of bodywork do you like receive?
I love eastern modalities like Thai and Shiatsu for relaxation and Trigger Point Therapy for really effective pain management and tension relief.
What do you do when you are not at the studio?
I hang out with my family, play video games, read comics and go hiking with friends.
Mountains, ocean, or dessert?
I love Southern California beaches and Northern California mountains!
Do you have animals? What kind are they, and what are their names?
I have a grey tabby cat named Puny, an all black short hair kitten named Kakashi, a clown fish named Little Guy, a yellow tang named Tang and a scooter blenny named Skeeter
Favorite quote:
“To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float.” – Alan Watts
What is your favorite treat?
Spicy ramen!
Today I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had! Shannon was my therapist. We had a nice chat beforehand about any problem areas and what I was expecting. During the massage she was very conscious of my breathing, trigger points and pressure levels. It was both therapeutic and relaxing. I’ve already booked my next appointment!
